This organic biological fungicide and bactericide utilizes the microbe Streptomyces lydicus WYEC 108 to effectively suppress and control a broad spectrum of soil-borne and foliar diseases. When applied to the soil, Actinovate SP colonizes the root system, protecting it from soil-borne pathogens such as Fusarium and Pythium. Foliar applications combat common foliar diseases including Powdery Mildew and Botrytis. This Streptomyces strain not only displaces pathogenic fungi but also safeguards the area against future fungal development. By alleviating disease stress, your plants will benefit from a vibrant root zone and robust, healthy foliage growth.

Key Features:

  • Restricted Entry Interval (REI): Safe to use up to and including the day of harvest, with a minimal 4-hour REI or until dry.
  • Versatile Application: Can be applied in soil (drench and in-furrow), as a foliar spray, through irrigation/chemigation, as a dip for cuttings and transplants, in planting medium, and as a dusting/coating for bulbs and tubers.
  • Compatibility: Compatible with most chemical fungicides, insecticides, and fertilizers. Consult the manufacturer for compatibility questions.
  • Disease Management: Excellent as part of an overall disease management strategy or Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program.
  • Water Solubility: Completely soluble in water, ensuring it won't clog machinery and does not require constant agitation during application.
  • Wide Usage: Suitable for various settings, including greenhouses, nurseries, ornamental landscapes, interiorscapes, and turf/lawn landscapes (athletic fields, golf courses, residential/commercial lawns, sod farms).

Target Diseases:

Actinovate SP effectively controls plant diseases caused by Alternaria, Aphanomyces, Armillaria, Botrytis, Fusarium, Gaeumannomyces graminis, Lanzia spp., Microdochium nivale, Moellerodiscus spp., Mucilago, Phytophthora, Puccinia spp., Pyricularia grisea, Pythium, Rhizoctonia, Sclerotinia, Typhula spp., Verticillium, and Xanthomonas. It also controls Downy Mildew and Powdery Mildew.

Application Methods:

Actinovate SP can be applied in various ways, including:

  • Foliar applications
  • Soil drenches
  • Irrigation/chemigation
  • In-furrow applications
  • Seed treatments
  • Cutting or bare-rooted transplant dips
  • Dusting and coating of bulbs, corms, tubers, rhizomes, and seeds

For Best Results:

  • Use prior to disease onset or in the early stages of disease development.
  • Avoid use at temperatures below 45°F (when the spores become inactive).
  • Apply to damp soil.
  • Apply to sterilized or fumigated soil after sterilization is complete or the fumigant has dissipated.
  • If high disease pressure is anticipated, tank mix high rates with another pesticide labeled for use on the target pest and shorten the spray interval (within the label limits).
  • Can be applied up to and including the day of harvest (0-day PHI).
  • Do not tank mix with chlorinated water, quaternary ammonia, or hydrogen peroxide.

Application Directions:

  • Accurate spray equipment calibration is essential prior to use.
  • The product is completely soluble and does not require agitation to keep suspended in solution.
  • Prepare only the amount of product needed to treat the target area and use the spray mixture within 4 hours of mixing.
  • Apply any unused product within 4 months of opening and before the expiration date.
  • Use higher labeled application rates when weather conditions are conducive to disease development or if the field has a history of disease problems.

Environment:

Avoid applying directly to water or to areas where surface water is present. Avoid contamination of water when disposing of equipment washwater or rinsate. Cover or collect any spilled seeds or product during use.

Storage:

Store in the original container, away from food and feed, in a cool, dry place between 40°F - 77°F. Avoid direct sunlight and heat sources. Prevent overheating or freezing. Use the product promptly after opening and apply any unused product within 4 months.
